Communication

A radio license is required for all aircraft equipped with transmitting radio devices. For 2-registered aircraft such licences are issued by the Ofcom. As part of the registration process, each aircraft is issued with a unique transponder code by the 2-REG. The transponder code can also be used for programming the Emergency Locator Transmitter.
