Maintenance engineer licence validation (initial and renewal) & GAR 43 Authorisation

❗ Important Note: Please apply for a GAR 43 authorisation instead of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence validation if the aircraft to certify falls into one of the following categories:

operated for commercial air transport or aerial work
any aeroplane having a MTOM exceeding 5,700 kg
any aeroplane equipped with one or more turbojet engine
any aeroplane having a maximum approved passenger seating configuration of more than 9
any helicopter having a MTOM exceeding 3,175 kg
any helicopter having a maximum approved passenger seating configuration of more than 5

The requirements for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence validation can be found in GAR 66/GAC PEL-2.

The requirements for a GAR 43 Authorisation can be found in GAR 43/GAC AIR-6.
